A night of colour, spectacle and recognition - the Market People Awards 2024 brought over 230 of the London Insurance Market's professionals together to celebrate in style at the beautiful Merchant Taylors' Hall in the City of London. This annual event, produced and hosted by LMF, has become a firm favourite in the sector. We were proud to support the Alzheimer's Society as our charity this year, as well as recognise our former colleague and Market friend, Joe Dainty.

The 7th Market People Awards took place on Thursday 27th June 2024 at the beautiful Merchant Taylor's Hall in the heart of the City of London. Over 230 of the City's finest gathered for a night which will have created lasting memories for everyone, winners, nominees and guests. This year the Awards will had a colourful Polynesian theme creating a relaxed Summertime vibe.

The Market People Awards has become an absolute firm favourite of many across the Market, as it's all about the "People" that make EC3 that special place to work. The event is produced and hosted by LMF, the Not for Profit community thought leadership and networking hub for the London Insurance Market and beyond, enjoyed by thousands every year. All run by insurance professionals for insurance professionals. The event is brought to you in association with our popular LMF publication, the Market People Magazine.

Alzheimer’s Society

LMForums is delighted to have selected The Alzheimer’s Society as its nominated charity for 2024. At this year’s Market People Awards, we supported this amazing charity, who are the only dementia charity that offers dedicated support to those who need help now, campaigns for change and funds groundbreaking research for a better tomorrow.

Dementia is the biggest health and social challenge of our time. There are currently estimated to be 900,000 people in the UK with dementia. Many are undiagnosed and facing the realities of their condition alone. As a Society, and with the help of their supporters, they’re attempting to change that. 1 in 3 lives will be devastated by dementia in the future, so urgent action is necessary.

With the kind generosity of attendees at the Awards and LMF Members throughout the year, the Alzheimer’s Society can give vital support to those who need it most, hold decision-makers to account, and fund groundbreaking research to transform the future for everyone living with dementia.

BREAKING NEWS: Early indications from The Alzheimer's Society suggest thanks to the kind generosity of our guests at the 2024 Awards celebrations, we have raised £6,324 - this is outstanding - thank you. The highest amount raised at one of our Awards events on one evening. The charity and LMF are so grateful. These funds were raised from our Charity Prize Draw and Silent Auction, as well as a Live Auction of some incredible artwork produced by Joe Dainty, kindly donated by his family. Thank you to everyone who kindly participated and gave to this worthy cause.
