Nomination Terms & Conditions

The promoter is: LM Forums Limited (LMF) (Company Registration Number 09251221) whose registered office is at 20 St Dunstan’s Hill, London, EC3R 8HL

1. Individuals or businesses cannot nominate themselves, but employees in a business can nominate their own teams or firms and firms can nominate individuals in their organisation.

2. There is no fee for making a Market People Awards nomination.

3. A person can make as many nominations as they wish.

4. LMF may exclude the nomination if it does not meet the eligibility criteria.

5. Closing date for nominations will be 5pm on 26th April 2024. Any nominations received after this time will not be submitted for judging.

6. The Market  Nominations and judging process works as follows:

   1. Stage 1: Nominations must be submitted via the online TypeForm Platform, before the above closing date.

   2. Stage 2: Nominees – A list of nominees will be compiled by LMF for the judges to review at the end of April 2024. LMF will notify a nominees when they are nominated.

   3. Stage 3: Final Judging – Winners will be selected from the list of nominees, compiled by LMF, which will be reviewed by an independent judging panel made up of previous Market People Award winners and other Market professionals. LMF does not sit on the judging panel but does administer the process.

7. The judging panel chooses who they feel are the most deserving winners and this is not based on the number of nominations/votes received). The name and contact details of all those who make a nomination will not be shared with the judges, who will only see the nominee details.

8. Your nomination may be considered in a different category if the judges decide it is more appropriate.

9. Judges do have the option to classify a nominee or more than one nominee as “Highly Commended”, in addition to a Winner, in each category.

10. The judges’ decision is final and no correspondence will be entered into.

11. In accordance with current data protection legislation, in order for LMF to process the personal and sometimes sensitive information contained within an Award nomination, the person making the nomination must be over the age of 16, unless they have the full consent of a parent or legal guardian.

12. The ‘processing’ of information includes:

    1. LMF holding information about the nominee and nominator on their digital and manual systems.

    2. LMF sharing nomination information with LMF staff and members of the external judging panel for the purposes of judging, but judges are not shown the name and contact details of those making the nomination.

    3. Using the information to contact the nominator/nominee or their parents/legal guardians.

14. All winners will be encouraged to participate in the following Market People Awards activity in the build-up to, during and after the event. This includes: 

    1. Attending the Awards ceremony.

    2. Photography or filming before, during and after the event

15. LMF reserves the right to cancel or amend these terms and conditions. Any changes will be published on the Market People Awards website page which can be found at https://marketpeopleawards.com

16. Submitting a nomination is deemed as acceptance of these terms and conditions.
